Как известно(по крайней мере я никогда этого не скрывала), я являюсь владельцем нескольких крыс. В данный конкретный момент времени их шесть морд. О самих крысах, об их разновидностях и особенностях я говорила ранее, а сейчас я хочу немного рассказать о кормлении большой стаи.

Многие из заводчиков или крысоводов со стажем могут возразить - разве шесть крыс, это большая стая? Для меня да. Это касается не только запаха из клетки или невозможности дрессировки - стая живет по своим законам, в которые человек мало вписывается, если он не сидит с ними круглые сутки, а, скажем, работает.

Дело еще и в еде.

Прокормить стаю непросто - на один корм уходит, в среднем, до 500 рублей в месяц(копейки вроде бы), но это если мы говорим только о сушняке, который крысы едят неохотно. Они его роют и выкидывают, а грубо говоря переводят, предпочитая что повкуснее. Отбросим еще порядка 600 рублей на наполнитель, и сосредоточимся на дополнительном корме для хвостатых вымогателей.

Зачастую стаю можно накормить тем, что остается в холодильнике - каша, какие-то сосиски, сыр и прочее, что вызывает сомнения, но не настолько большие, чтобы выбросить продукт.

Но, на своем примере я пришла к выводу, что продукты, которые чуть завалялись и не попали в мой желудок и желудки моей семьи, быстро заканчиваются. И приходится что-то готовить.

Чаще всего это каши.

Я покупаю геркулес крупной фракции и варю кашу с мясным детским пюре. Получается так вкусно, что она расходится за пару дней. Но каша под руками не всегда, а кушать крысам хочется постоянно.

Вот и приходится открывать запасы, принесенные теми, кто оставляет крыс на передержку(я их не ныкаю, просто не все их забирают обратно). Чаще всего, мне конечно привозят нормальную кашу. Но иногда бывают и сюрпризы. Как детские каши от "Heinz". Когда я первый раз я открыла подобную вещь, то в нос мне сразу бросился резкий химический запах. А на упаковке было написано, что это каша с тыквой, хотя это все было переработано в мелкую труху, непонятного цвета. А мне же сразу же вспомнился кабинет химии после опыта. И вот у меня созрел вопрос - а вы готовы дать подобную кашу своему ребенку?

Мои крысы отказались от подобного угощения сразу. Точно так же, как от гречневой каши, с аналогичным запахом. И да, кстати. Выглядят они одинаково - непонятные серые порошки в алюминиевой упаковке.

Еще один вариант - дать крысам пюре - мясное или овощно-фруктовое, с булкой. Тут тоже возникают проблемы.

Существует самое дешевое пюре - "Бабушкино лукошко". Крысы его едят и с удовольствием, но пахнет оно не то чтобы аппетитно.

А есть "Фруто няня", которая выпускает откровенное ... под видом пюре. Недавно я открыла овощное рагу и чуть не померла от запаха. Извините за сравнение, но пахнет как еда исторгнутая желудком. Черт побери, чем по мнению производителей мы должны кормить детей? По счастью, я тестирую это на крысах - это не так болезненно. А правильные родители такую продукцию не покупают вовсе - слишком беспокоятся за здоровье своих карапузов. Гораздо полезнее купить овощей или мяса и прокрутить их самим. Благо, что техника для подобных операций не так уж недоступна в наше время.

На самом деле, за все то время, что я держу крыс, я перепробовала много всяких ништяков. Начиная с различных приспособлений для обустройства клетки, до того, чем кормить зверей.

Так в свое время я открыла детское мясное, а затем и фруктовое пюре. А потом я открыла для себя универсальный паек на одну крысо-морду - корм для хомяков из Ашана. Многие из крысоводов знают о нем, многие нет, но показателен тот факт - корм улетает на ура. И стоит не дорого. Единственная его проблема - его никогда не бывает достаточно.

На этом по корму, наверное все. Многие из крысоводов готовят для крыс котлетки, супчики или запеканки - без соли, без приправ - исключительно полезные. Но мне кажется, это как с кошками - есть такие люди(преимущественно одинокие женщины), которые животных любят больше, чем себя. Я пока что этим не болею, поэтому для меня чем проще, тем лучше. Этим принципом я руководствуюсь в выборе еды для себя, и им же - при выборе еды для питомцев.
